Our Story
Nestled in the heart of Port Dover, Ontario Canada, just steps from the shores of Lake Erie, The Ice Cream Tank has been serving up happiness one scoop at a time since 2017. After 25 years in retail with Dave's World (est. 1995), Dave wanted to start something fresh--something that made people happy. He could think of no better way than to serve up ice cream. The Ice Cream Tank opened its doors in the summer of 2017 with 24 flavours of hard ice cream. Now, in peak season, we are scooping up to 65 flavours, including No Sugar Added, Lactose-Free, Sorbet and plant-based options. At the Ice Cream Tank, we believe everyone should be able to enjoy summer's favourite treat.
